Recently the Turtle Lodge hosted an Onjisay Aki Youth Summit on Climate Change, organized by young leaders from Sagkeeng with guidance of the Elders. 

The Youth Climate Summit took place at Turtle Lodge from September 16-19, 2016. On the eve of International Peace Day, Youth who took part in the Summit released the Onjisay Aki Statement of Youth & Knowledge Keepers – which was spiritualized in traditional Indigenous ceremony – setting a course for international peace and healing.
